I'm literally LOL, I bought the Mercy Thompson series too, must have been a sale! I bought both series March 2012, haven't read 1 of those yet either. Now see, if I keep moving stuff up in my TBR pile, it makes it even harder to pick! So which series do I move up first, Mercy Thompson or Alpha & Omega?
*notices I'm still not reading my actual book yet*

If I remember correctly, the first few books of Mercy Thompson occur before the events in Alpha & Omega, after that I would recommend reading both series together by publication date as there is some very minor overlap between them.

apesmom, you will love Frost Burned! Ok, I've 5-starred the full Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega series so my objectivity can (ha!) be called into question but I seriously think you'll love this one

I sometimes feel bad for re-listening to my old favorites as well. J. D. Robb, Patricia Briggs and Anne McCaffrey are old stand bys that I love to go back to. And I wholly agree, Frost Burned is awesome!!

I have to say I am most excited about the Nalini Singh audiobook. It shows as 13+ hours long. Most are on average of 9 hours long. I have heard that this book may unveil the identity of "The Ghost."

I really will not list my ebook purchases but have spent my money before my birthday on the sale of audiobooks. I ended up with 7 from the 4.95 sale. Using my 10.00 credit, I decieded I could not make up my mind. Plus the Deanna Chase book was only 1.99

Oh, and hopefully this week will be the week that Laura Kinsale's The Prince of Midnight is released. I have been saving a credit just for that release since listening to a sample at Audiogals blog. The narrarator's voice just matches the story and was picked by Laura herself. To anyone who wants to listen here is the link.

I got this when it first came out. She has another book out I also got. She was highly recommended by some big name authors. I have not read it yet but It's on my Kindle which means I want to read it very soon.

HQN code doesn't work for me either.

As to which series to start with, I read Alpha & Omega books first (not by design, it just happened that way). I think you can start with either one and it won't matter. There is a little overlap between the two series but nothing spoiler-y.

Best to read them as they were published. That way you get the full effect. I have both series and have not read them either.

I never wanted to re-read books except the Stephanie Plum series. I read little tidbits or listen to them daily.

I'll keep an eye out on the Kinsale Audible. I have the ebook on my Kindle. I put it on there when I was looking for highwayman theme books.

I did pick up a Time Travel book today you might like: Wish upon a Cowboy by Maureen Child. Originally published under her pen name Kathleen Kane in 2000.

I just started reading the last book in Fortune's Series by Judith E. French. She is amazing. Her books have renewed my love for historical romance. She needs to get these into ebooks.

It's truly sad when I think how formulated historicals are today. No history really in them. Just contemporaries in long dresses. You don't feel like you are there experiencing it with them. Her first book took place during the reign of King Charles II and the last one in the trilogy takes place right before the Revolutionary war. It all centers around a Inca treasure and its guardian. So there's plenty of adventure. It has just a small touch of paranormal to it. If you ever come across these at a used bookstore. Buy them! I got mine from Amazon Marketplace. These go on the keeper shelf.

Edit: Just found out Fortunes' Mistress and Fortunes' Flame are coming out in ebook in October!

I didn't get the other books of the series when they were on sale. I don't know why. I thought I did.

I'm trying very hard to be good right now because I've just read through the posts and want to go check out these Mercy Thompson / Alpha & Omega series that keep popping up... But. I'm. Not. Going. To. I'm not.

I would check the library first for the Briggs books. All my overdrive libraries I belong to have them all.

I've known a few people who felt very confused when they read the first Alpha & Omega book without reading the prequel novel in the anthology "On the Prowl". I would say it isn't necessary, but it does help you understand the backstory of how the hero & heroine meet.

Yes, the prequel novella, titled Alpha & Omega, is helpful for a true understanding of the dynamics of Charles and Anna's relationship. Really, for a true appreciation of Anna's character development, I think it is a must-read.

Alpha & Omega is sold as a standalone so there's no need to buy the anthology if you don't want to.
