Glo Magnetic Closure Sleep Cover for $8.99 USD!

![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.amazon.com/Magnet-Magneti...words=Kobo+Glo I bought one on a lark, and was pleasantly surprised. Two weeks to get to USA from China, shipping included. They have them in Black, Red, Purple and Green. No clasp, they have magnetic closure and a sleep magnet. They also carry them for the mini. For those with a Glo and worried about the sleep cover battery drain issue that some have experienced, please note the absence of a pocket or flap. Last one in still has a nekkid Kobo! Thanks for posting this find, I just ordered one. While I generally hate when a reader slides inside the cover like that, it makes them bulkier and recesses the screen more, today reading out in the direct sun I found (surprisingly) that the finish on the Kobo Glo gets almost as hot as my Sony metal readers. The Sonys are ok with a skin on them, I might still break down and order just a plain black skin for the Glo. But for $8.99, you can't really go wrong in the meantime even as a spare cover.

You're welcome. For under ten bucks including shipping I couldn't resist trying one. If they came in blue or brown I'd own three by now.

I'm glad you posted the link. I'd searched there before for a case that looked good, and this one never showed up. Even now when I just try to search, this case does not come up. Still trying (just for kicks) and can't find it. Strange. Ok finally found it in search. Still, odd. Technisol, you should write a review on Amazon to let other people know you like it. Well, that sucks VE. Does this mean you Canadians are now more import restrictive than China or is it the other way around? LOL! You guys better watch out, this may just be the first step, next they may sever diplomatic relations and invade so they can set up closer to their US investments to keep an eye on their money.

If it's being shipped from China, I expect you could find the same thing on eBay or AliExpress or similar if you can't get it from Amazon.

WOW, I've seen people complain about not being able to buy books in Canada via Amazon, but I thought that was a publishing territory restriction or trade agreement thing involving copyright restrictions or the like... As this is an item shipped from China, I had no idea such a problem might exist. Perhaps you should write to the seller or Amazon inquiring why there is a restriction to free trade? Is there no way to go through the US Amazon site, or does it dump you based location?

No offense intended, but if my right to purchase something, especially at a better price, was being restricted, I'd be very curious about why and exactly by whom. I certainly would not assume it was the seller or the facilitator(Amazon) preventing my purchase as trade is in their favor...

Seems a little simplistic based on quoting your own link:

"Warranty issues and manufacturer restrictions prevent us from shipping certain products to all geographical locations." That's not Amazon saying we don't want your money, that's them explaining why in some cases they can't take it. I'd personally like a more in depth explanation on a per item basis, especially something as simple as an ereader cover... Perhaps it comes down to certain locales enacting "consumer protection" laws that over reach? The locale or governments should not have undue oversight on product warranties. The manufacturer has to figure warranties into product cost, in areas where a longer warranty is mandated it's not unreasonable to assume a higher cost. I think it may be better to let the consumer practice a "buyer beware" policy and judge whether the warranty offered is sufficient for their purposes. Further, for most products likely to require a warranty like tech, the buyer can purchase extended warranty or often get it based on using a credit card for purchases. |
