I can't really say. I saw it and tried it for curiosity. It seemed to work, but I haven't continued using it. I don't know about the dictionary. Have a look in the calibre Plugin forum for the thread about it.

Hyphenated kepubs have display issues. Not sure about hyphenated epubs. The dictionary I use is the LibreOffice hyphenation dictionary (you have to fetch it yourself). I don't know what the hyphenation plugin does.
