Release 2.5.1 removed left justification
I just had a live chat with Kobo CS.
Marti G: Hi, my name is Marti G. How may I help you? Beth: my glo updated to 2.5.1 and lost the left justification Marti G: I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your e-Reader. Marti G: Do you mind holding for a moment while I research that issue? Beth: thank you Marti G: Sure. Marti G: Thank you for holding. Marti G: Unfortunately the feature has been removed after the update. We apologize for the inconvenience. I have only had the Glo for a week and now they have removed one of my favorite features. |

Huh?
Are you talking about text alignment left, instead of justified text? If so, it works fine for my .epub's in 2.5.1. When it doesn't work for you, there is probably a predefined text alignment in the .epub css, which you can be removed with Sigil or caliber |

Thanks for the reply.
I was in the middle of a book when it updated. Before the update it was justified left, after the update it wasn't. When I go to the Font menu and look at Justification at the bottom, left is no longer an option. If I click on the space where it used to be, nothing happens. |

Maybe this was fixed by 2.5.2 released today?

I have tried syncing several times today, but so far, no 2.5.2 update.
I will just keep trying. |

The icon for the currently selected justification mode was blank on my Glo in 2.5.1, but pressing it still worked OK, i.e. it still changed from left to full justification and back OK. In 2.5.2 the blank icon is fixed.

I have checked and on my Mini (2.5.1) I still have the choice to have the text justified or left aligned. So it's consistent with what others have said

As others have said, I haven't seen any change in the justification behaviour. Except the button is blank in at least one version, but it still works.
But, it only has an effect if the book doen't block it. If the CSS defines the text alignment, the device will not over ride it. To me, that is the correct behaviour. |

It seems left justification still works if the book was purchase from Kobo. If it is a book that I already owned and transferred via USB then it does not.
Another thread is talking about Kobo changed the way it handles CSS. I think there was a change with 2.5.1 because I was in the middle of reading a book when it updated. Before the update it left justified and after it did not. Also, when I contacted CS they stated that "the feature has been removed after the update." |

I don't know about that but on my Mini I can have the left alignment on an epub ebook which doesn't come from Kobo. On another one I can't, but I guess that's because of some fixed CSS settings. I'm still using 2.5.1 since the update isn't available here yet.
