It depends on the country and provider. In france you have a concern with your kobo, Exchange you it with a new one. The kobo is distributed by a large store brand, and the service is excellent. Kobo in my country owes its success to this chain store. |

Well the thing is with Amazon, it seems if you fill up your reader it gets very slow. So if you have more space for the same amount of books, it will work better. The previous kindles had 4GB. That should be the minimum on any Kindle. I frankly don't think I'll buy another Kindle with only 2GB.

Page-turn buttons would not make everyone happy. I would be very surprised to see the return of physical buttons as it it would increase production cost and subsequently the cost for the consumer. Kindle owners have become accustomed to $69 and $119 price tags.

I would just like the basic kindle with a frontlight (Paperwhite with no touch screen).

I won't ask for things that won't change like epub support, physical buttons, sd card slot, ect. I would just like a 1440x1080 resolution and better lighting like what the Aura HD has. |

My concerns are more in the software area. Better typography (including hyphenation and improved justification). I would like the Kindles to be trying to match physical books, rather than the web, in this regard.

I currently have about 730 books on my Paperwhite, and have used something like 60% of the available space. I don't personally consider that this "sucks" or that it's a limitation. I somehow manage to struggle on with the ability to carry a mere thousand or so books with me...

So Harry, any slowing down of your device with that many on it? I don't mean during reading, but slowing down while doing other things such as paging through collection screens, searching, etc.

Exact figures, in case you're interested, are that I have 733 books on my PW. I'm using 937MB and have 454MB free (so I've actually used 67% of the space). Around a third of the books I have are omnibus editions, so I probably have around a thousand individual books.

That's great. I am afraid to put a lot on mine. Maybe I shouldn't be. I have lots and lots of short stories on it. I wonder if they are more memory intensive than longer works? Does it take more processing power to keep 57 short stories versus 3 full length novels, for example?
