Next generation Kindle

What would you like to see in the next generation kindle?

Personally I would like to see a faster response time from the CPU, from the time that I tap a part of the screen to the time that the Kindle actually displays the menu is a bit disapointing in my view. I like the current screen resolution, I have never been a fan of audio books, however I can see where some would like audiobooks and I can imagine where someone would like a better text to speach function.

As far as the Kindle Fire HD goes I do not own one nor do I have any plans to buy one, I have two tablets at home and I think that I have one too many as it is, so I can not comment on the quality of the HD. Perhaps someone that owns an HD can comment there.

6 or more GB storage and/or SD card slot. HD specs to match Kobo Aura.

I agree. An SD card slot for extra storage space would be great.

It's not going to happen. Amazon want you to use their cloud storage.

Improved lighting is at the top of my list. I would like more natural lighting, no bluish casts, and elimination of the gawd-awful blotches.

Also, more formatting options as well as the option to add our own fonts (without the need for workarounds) and the ability to fine tune fonts, i.e., a slider for size, weight, sharpness -- similar to Kobo.

An HD screen - improvement on LED lighting - more responsiveness. A better way to organize books on the device (without Calibre).

6 GB storage ? You want a lot for a little. LOL. I have a iPad and haven't used that much storage.

I gave away my KPW for your very reason.. It was gawd-awful. Kobo Glo much GOODER..

Wow I don't know. I am happy with my Paperwhite.

Other than having better quality control I can't think of a way to improve it other than better contrast and I know it wont happen but ability to add our own fonts without using Alt file would be nice.

Won't happen. They even took away the home button, something even Steve Jobs wasn't dickish enough to do.

But Kobo's customer service is the absolute worst and I much prefer Amazon's ecosystem. I am confident that an improved PW is in the works.
