Would someone please just tell me what publishers honor the promo codes? I just tried book after book after book after book after book... and standard checkout has no option to input a promo code! It's very frustrating!!

Since the agency model has ended on all but one of the big six, shouldn't you be able to put in a promo code for any ebook anyway? What gives?

as far as I get it, if the price ends in .99 or .49, chances are the promo code cannot be applied.

Doesn't have to be, though. Most of the time it's true, but I've seen books ending in .99 you could use promo codes on. You can only try...

I never buy a book at Kobo unless I can use a promo code, and the overwhelming majority of the books I've bought there end in .99 or .49

Are you sure you have standard checkout enabled and not the other one? I seem to recall that it didn't allow coupons.

Codes don't work for any of the former Agency publishers. In fact, unlike other stores, Kobo doesn't seem to be discounting former Agency titles in any way from what my limited browsing shows.



There is a partial list of publishers that allow coupons here. For Kobo nothing appears to have changed from the Agency days...

One almost sure indicator is if the book shows two prices (Price, followed by tiny List Price and You Save amount) it will allow discount codes. Check Note 2 in Post # 1 of this thread for more information.
