Alternatively, copy the "LastFile" folder from the "BookDesigner" folder into the folder where you're creating your book. Then, if you want to do more work on the book, simply double-click the ".html0" file in the "LastFile" folder. Either approach works fine.

It's a pleasure, ndtvideas123.

Book Designer is a very powerful program, but can be a bit cranky at times. I strongly suggest that you download HarryT's Book Designer Tutorial - see the first post in this thread:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10313
It is very useful in guiding you through how to make a book.

And if you ever decide to tackle text files (eg many of those from Project Gutenberg) then paste the text file into a Doc, save it, then run Stingo's Macro:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8793
This will remove all those annoying end-of-line breaks and give you a nice reflowing text. Then put the file into BD.

And do ask again if you have any more queries.
I got my Reader in May 2007, and I knew NOTHING AT ALL about all this. I got a lot of help from people on this forum. Now I'm really quite proficient, thanks to all the advice and a lot of practice.

Thanks for that post Patricia! I am in the middle of creating an ebook for 'The Carved Lions' by Mary Louisa Molesworth and the maco link will help, as Abbyy FineReader is choking on exporting to RTF. Thanks!

If you have not installed and setup the Book Cleaner files, then you may want/need to reload your eBook all over again into Book Designer in order to fix things that are broken when Book Cleaner is not set up properly.

Here is the thread to get the Book Cleaner files and how to install them.
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11649

One note about Book Designer. Do not load text files. It seems to break paragraphs if you do. If you have a text file to load, take the text file and convert it to RTF and then load it. The paragraphs will be fine.
