Polish also does font sub-setting - which I don't think is currently available in Modify.
Modify ePub can do more. Install it and see what it does. I use it a lot. I also use the subset font and smarten punctuation from Polish.

@JSWolf - What is the difference between the smarten punctuation in Polish and Modify? I assumed they were the same.

I use Modify constantly and Polish rarely, covers are useful to me in Calibre, but not in my 'books', they're academic papers, government reports etc. The covers I use are from Generate Cover, they add no value to the ePUB. Modify is easiest method of getting rid of them and doing the other tweaks I want. If Polish had Remove cover I would use it constantly and Modify rarely.

Book Polish was added to the baseline Calibre within the last couple of months, its also a lot faster than doing ePUB to ePUB conversion .

Thanks Guys,

I'll give that a try.
