Metadata only for few file?

Hi, i have a Kindle 3 (kindle keyboard) and i have imported with calibre some books. I have modified metadata to fill missing info and {series_index:0>2s|[|] - }{title} into metadata plugboard. At last, Kindle Collection plugin to create collection.
But, when i restart kindle, some books doesn't have title in plugboard format. I tried to modify and resend book but nothing....
For these books kindle read different metadata from those of calibre...
where i wrong?

I dont have a K3 but on my kindle i have to:
delete the books from my device,
then eject and unplug my kindle,
then plug back in and resend the books.

I tried that but nothing, the same result. I also tried to convert them back to mobi...

Strange, this is the plugboard i use {series:|| }{series_index:0>2s|[|] - }{title}

Have you got it set for any format, any device.
Does your plugboard work on any of your books?

Yes, works correctly but with some books don't work.... I have setted plugboard with mobi and KINDLE2 as device

I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me will be along soon to help you out, one more thing to try would be to, delete the books from your kindle with Calibre/ Eject and unplug then do a Restart, then reload.

There may be some funky things going on with the Cache.

I don't own a Kindle, but I do know that when you convert a book to mobi in the MOBI output section you have options for MOBI file type: Old, Both or New. If your mobi was converted with Both as the option then Metadata Plugboards for that book will not work. I believe you should always choose MOBI file type: Old for the K3 (see attached).

I hope this info helps you out.

Doh... how could i forget that. I was affected by it when the joint format was first implimented.

In my defence i just use AZW3 now when converting.

But if i try to convert into azw3, when send to kindle, calibre convert again into mobi.... Tomorrow try this setting...

Have you told Calibre that your Kindle can handle azw3 files?

Go to preferences/ Plug-ins/ device interface plug-ins and find the kindle 2/3/4 etc plug in snd select customise.

Just tick AZW3 and move it up to the top if you prefer to use that over standard mobi files (if both are available).
