I bought Cardwell Ranch Trespasser by B.J. Daniels and the audio of Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts

Congrats! It looks likes a nice frontlit eReader.

That reminds me I have to buy 3 more Audibles if I am going to get that $10 credit. I already grabbed To The Nines by Janet Evanovich last night to listen to while I went to sleep.

Just saw The Edge of Never is at Audible and is done by one of my Favorite narrators. Lauren Fortgang. This is a dilemma because I own the book. Do I want to read the book or listen to the story?

Note directly Romance or Fiction but I think it's related enough.

Fashions in the Era of Jane Austen

Quote:
Regularly marked at $8.99 this Kindle electronic book is now being offered at no cost for one day only. All students and teachers of the Columbia School District in Columbia, Missouri are encouraged to download this book for free.

What gown would you wear to be the belle of the ball in April 1811?

Choose any month and any year between 1809 and 1820 to find the most fashionable attire to wear in Regency England. Fashions in the Era of Jane Austen is a pictorial of images collected from Ackermann's Repository of the Arts.

Find splendid illustrations of morning, evening, riding, and walking dresses with the accompanying accessories: hats, shoes, scarves, jewelry, parasols and more. Over two hundred and seventy-five exquisite illustrations with the original accompanying descriptions as they were published over two hundred years ago. Discover the voice of the past through the written language of each narrative.

Fashions in the Era of Jane Austen covers twelve years of fashion, the last two years of the Georgian period (1809-1810) and the entire ten years of the Regency period (1811-1820)
Saw it on Facebook posted by several Historical Romance authors who said to get so I thought I'd share.

$55!

I'll have to check it out on my Fire. The dresses should look nice on there.

Yesterday I bough More Than Fiends by Maureen Child. It looks like a funny read then you know I bought the pro wrestling series by Pat White. A few NA books, that 6 book set...Today I bought some Eugenia Riley books at Kobo without coupons from their new game.

Is it bad when you lose track of what you purchased in a week?
This week I bought:

1. Son of the Morning by Linda Howard (this is an old favorite and I couldn't resist at $0.99, though I can barely stand time-travel romances anymore)

2. The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken (I have a love/hate thing for triangles ; I paid only $0.69 with a Kobo coupon)

3. Mother of the Bride by Lynn Michaels (I started it but haven't gotten very far; $1.99)

4. Worth the Wait by Synithia Williams (I'm reading this now and it's good so far; $0.99)

5. A Walk in the Park by Jill Mansell (Just because. I now own 10 of her books and I have yet to read one. Oh well, it was only $1.99)

As you can see, I was a real big spender this week

(Though it wasn't this week, I bought a Kindle Paperwhite for night time reading; it's not getting to me till next weekend and I won't be in the country then )

Thank you I already bought the 3rd book at Amazon but this is great!

I bought the Linda Howard book too. Rachel Van Dyken has another NA out called Elite I'm not sure it's a romance but it's only 99 cents and looks really good.

I too buy all Jill's books but yet to read one! I guess seeing I've gotten them all on sale or as freebies it's just natural to want to collect them.

Congrats on your new best friend!! Trust me I bought mine for night time reading too but I use it during the morning, afternoon, evening and everything in between.

There is a Epilogue for the book at the author's site.

I bought Elite as it's the first thing that has made me say "I got to read this!" since Crowe's Row.

Thanks Blossom - this looks GREAT! Downloading to my iPad as we speak, I love books like this. What a treat!

P.S. Haven't pulled the trigger yet but I am seriously eyeing that new Kobo Aura - it looks really, really good and this is coming from a die hard Kindle fan (since 2009). I have had my finger over the BUY button all day, I think I will try and wait until some reviews (from real people) come out. Loving the 6.8 inch screen! Oh well!

Spoiler:
I finished this one and the final verdict is that I really liked it (3.75 stars rounded off to 4) but there were a few irritating things in there. The heroine is a virgin and throughout the book this is just beaten (and strangled, and mauled) to death. It got tired very quickly.

Also, the hero is a real dog player and it's like all the women he's slept with before are sluts and the virgin heroine is a saint

I'm definitely not one of those readers with issues about virgin heroines but the way the two types () of women were presented didn't sit well with me.

The characters have great chemistry though; not erotic romance but very sexy.

Ok, consider Elite added to the list of what I bought this week, Miss Enabler

Same exact justification for buying the Jill Mansells! I got two for free and the other eight only cost me a little over $8.00!

I'm very excited about my Paperwhite; can't wait to have it in my hands
