Hello!
I came to this forum while looking for information on a problem I was having with one of our Sony prs505s, I bought myself one a while ago and then had to buy my wife one also. We both like reading old books and have downloaded many from Project Guttenberg. I love finding and enjoying books that I wouldn't have read if I were shopping in a bookstore.
We live in Washington state and are in the process of getting retired. Just sold our business a month ago,and have a little consulting to do for the new owners and then can spend more time traveling and reading. I'm impressed with the folks here and hope I can fit in. |

Welcome Bluegrass. Loved Washington many years ago at McChord AFB. (Many, many years ago). This is a great forum & good people with lots of passion for books in general and ebooks in particular.

Hi bluegrass and welcome to the Forum. Spent some time in Washington myself in the AF; Fairchild AFB in my case. And like slayda, it was a LONG time ago; way before eBooks.

Welcome Bluegrass. A two-reader family, that's just too cool. I'm not quite ready to plunge into retirement since I'm not willing to cut back my income until more of our debt is paid off. But I am looking forward to a time when I have more time for reading. I'd definitely like to travel, so I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive way to do that.
Since you mention Project Gutenberg, check out MobileRead's large collection of those books which have been formatted especially for the Sony Reader. Some of them have been enhanced by adding illustrations and most have been lovingly crafted for the Reader. Welcome, welcome. We're glad you found us. Hang around and tell us all about those good books you're reading. |
