Regarding Rock Me, I've read the 3rd book (Leave Me Breathless) in the series and I would definitely call it Erotic Romance and not Erotica.

I guess I go by Ellora's Cave definition. They were my first ebooks years ago. They call it Romantica. Anyone remember that term? They had a separate place for Erotica I believe they called it Exotika

Although the lines have become a big blur over the years. It's still how I think of things. Erotic Romance has plot and while sex can be super spicy and frequent there is a story to be told. Think Breed Series by Lora Leigh. Which was my first taste. 50 Shades which took Erotic Romance mainstream. I was actually shocked A Mighty Storm was labeled Erotica. Because I wouldn't even called it Erotic Romance. It was too TAME to be labeled it. Something Brava would published.

Erotica is more male meets female and they are in instant lust and they immediately have sex which is told in explicit detail. There is barely little if any plot. Think Merciful Angel by Lacey Thorn which I tried to read after One Good Man which was erotic romance and really well done. It's written for titillation and pretty much nothing else.

Of course both definitions can apply to M/M or Menages types too. I once read a couple of MM/F that was erotic romance. That's how I know it's not my thing and went back to M/F stories.

It was a Deal of the day a few months ago. I'd forgotten all about it.

I was the same way when I finished A Mighty Storm I wanted anything rockstar and still do. Maryse has a huge rockstar list so it's very popular at the moment.
It will be hard to find someone like Kellan Kyle.

I agree Olivia Cunning is very close to erotica. I've read the reviews and they said the same thing.

Let me know how My Favorite Mistake turns out I read the sample during my Beautiful Disaster kick and it just didn't draw me in.

I loved Leave Me Breathless (though that thing with the hero's you-know-what-I'm-referring-to through me for a loop ). Other people on Goodreads talked about the immature heroine in Rock Me so I never bothered to pick it up.

I agree totally on One Hit Wonder (if it's the one by Elyssa Patrick).

I am going through Linda Howard's backlist. I am loving her books. I haven't read Son of the Morning but for .99 cents it is a no brainier for me. Thanks for the post. I just got home and am afraid to start reading it now. Maybe a novella.
