OCD Issue = Unsuccessful Trying to Change Title and Author of Downloaded News

I have OCD issues and so I'm seeking your kind help.

I use Calibre to download news, particularly The Economist, for reading on my Kindle apps on iPhone and Android tablet.

The default Title is "The Economist" and Author is "Calibre". I would like to change the Title to include year and Week no (e.g. 2013 (14) The Economist) and Author to "The Economist". However editing the metadata in calibre does not update the mobi file. I understand you need to convert Mobi to Mobi in order to update the file however, when I do so I loss all the TOC of the original downloaded file. Is there anyway out?

asking on this forum is my last resort, can anybody help please?

Basically I want to find out how to update my ebook metadata (mobi format) without conversion. Or is there no solutions?

The mobi file will be updated when you export it from calibre.

Its a little trouble exporting and then re-adding it to the library, but at least it gets the job done.
