Elizabeth Boyle has her Brazen Series now in ebook form.

The first is only $0.99 and the other two are $2.99

Series was formerly published by Dell in 97-99
These are Historical Romances set in Georgian to Regency period.
  1. Brazen Angel
  2. Brazen Heiress
  3. Brazen Temptress

Or if you want all 3 there is a box set for $6.99

These are also at Smashwords, Kobo and probably at B&N too. The Kobo ones are couponable! That's where I got the other two. I don't use coupons on 99 cents books.

They do sound really intriguing.

I'm usually pretty OCD about reading in order also, but KA is my one exception. I started with Motorcycle Man because I really wasn't sure about reading her and that seems to be a universal favorite (it's #4 in the Dream Man series). I have to say, that book is like a gateway drug. If it doesn't hook you, nothing will.

I still haven't read all of the other books in that series. Instead, I picked up the Colorado Mountain series and I'm loving it. Once again, I started out of order with the 3rd book, Lady Luck, but I ended up putting it down and going back to the first book in the series, The Gamble. I'm really glad that I went back to reading in order.

For April spending, I'm also looking at The Stillness of You (recommended over in the open thread at Dear Author) and Relentless (I liked the sample).

I'm sort of sorry I didn't wait for a sale on it, to be honest.

Now *I'm* confused. I'm not much of a romance reader, but I liked having the DANL membership and have bought (and enjoyed) A LOT of books I normally would not have given a second glance.

I tend to buy in batches though, and blow through all of my current credits at once; I use an older non wi-fi reader and prefer to do my book management in bulk.

I like the idea of being able to buy multi-packs of *additional* credits, but I had assumed that I would get to continue the membership model too. I thought that what this change was, but it makes more sense that it is the entire model that is changing. I don't think I like that either; I'd rather purchase a subscription, with the benefit of optional additional credits, rather than to have membership based on purchased credits only.

Add me to the list of people who must read books in order! [however when I first started buying ebooks I stumbled a bit]. I feel like I'm in trouble with KA, I started with Creed [Unfinished Heroes, book 2], bought Knight [which is book 1] once I realized my error, but haven't read it yet. Then on Blossom's recommendation I bought Rock Chick [but haven't read it yet]. So should I go to RC1 and then what? IIRC Unfinished Heroes isn't really related to any of the other series?

Actually it is connected to the same world. It's best to start with Rock Chick series believe me it will makes everything click more. You need to understand who Lee Nightingale is and the hot bunch. They are in so many other series of hers. I mean you could skip it but then once you did read it you would feel like you need to go reread the other books again because you wouldn't get the full impact.

The Rock chick series I believe started with the Stephanie Plum craze. It's very similar at first but then KA builds her own world. I mean Lee Nightingale is no Ranger but they are very similar is nature but Lee's a sweetie and he takes care of the Fortnum gang. The series revolves around him and his gal Indy and their friends. It's a series you must read in order though.

KA's books are so connected I wish there was a seriously Read in this order list but that's all I could find. People will say you don't have to read them in order but you will miss things and not even know it till it's too late.

Crossing The Line by Katie McGarry [Harlequin Teen Specials Releases]

Quote:
Lila McCormick, Echo's best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

It's been a while but the Thursday Cheaper by the Dozen at RT Booklovers has some great reads. I just bought 7 of them.

I seem to be coming down with the ebook buying affliction. Wonder what the cure could be. As someone looking for a job, it is not good to spend to much.

I was notified of a price drop on a new bundle, Abbi Glines Sea Breeze Collection $7.49 [$40 ish regular, and is a great deal as each book is around $5] Anyways, as I was about to pre-order, I noticed the release date is Dec 30, and the worst, the year is 2030??? Is this just an error or is this some kind of scam? Should I report it somewhere?

This happened with my pre-order of Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati. It was newly available for pre-order on Kindle with a funky release date like that. I got it a month or so after I ordered, but in the meantime that edition of the book disappeared from the Kindle store I got my book so I was happy no matter how weird it was!

Thanks for the heads up on FiY! In that case, I'll hold off still.

I'm irritated with myself regarding Relentless. I discovered it via an email from BookGorilla when it was $0.99. Well, I got a sample, took my time reading that, then decided I wanted to buy it after all. Uh, guess what? In the less one hour it took me to get around to all that, the book had gone back up to $2.99
