I'm getting a conversion error converting an RTF to LRF:

Still getting this when I try to save books to disk only in Mobi format:
local variable 'data' referenced before assignment Detailed traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Applications/calibre.app/Contents/Resources/main.py", line 714, in save_single_format_to_disk File "/Applications/calibre.app/Contents/Resources/main.py", line 731, in save_to_disk File "calibre/gui2/library.pyo", line 156, in save_to_disk File "calibre/library/database.pyo", line 1550, in export_single_format_to_dir UnboundLocalError: local variable 'data' referenced before assignment Could it be because I don't have mobi format file for all of my books? Also, when I have a book in the library and I want to add another format to it, the ebook doesn't get coppied to the calibre folder and the newly added format no longer shows up. BOb |

That took care of my problems. This is really great. I am going to transfer my library up to my ssh host and see how this performs over the wire. Thanks!

I dont see the add format problem. Are you adding another format by conversion or by using the edit metadata dialog? |

Kovid,
One other nit picking thing. The sort icons in the grid title bar are backwards. When you sort ascending, the triangle should point up because the "small" part of the triangle is smaller and the bottom part is "wider" indicating you are going from smaller values on top to larger on bottom. Of course sort descending the triangle should point down indicating the larger values are on top just like the size of the triangle on top. Questions... 1. Can I move the db folder? If so, how, move it first then tell calibre or if I change the location in calibre will it move all the files for me? 2. Will this work ok on a NAS drive using with multiple users accessing it? 3. Is it possible to hook up external conversions. I want to be able to use the GUI to convert LIT to Mobi in addition to LIT to LRF. I have mobiperl stuff that works great... but accessing it from calibre would be nice. I basically want to be able to have all books in Mobi and LRF format to support both my Kindle and Sony. Thanks for the great work on this... it has been very helpfull. BOb |

add format bug will be fixed in the next release. As for the arrow order, that's decided by library software that i dont have any control over. I could hack it to reverse, but I'm used to the current ordering
![]() 1) Move the folder location via the config dialog and calibre should do the rest. But remember this is a beta. 2) it should provided fcntl based file locking works on NAS shares 3) Not yet. Adding support for configurable generic html converters is on my TODO list, but at the moment i'm focussing on html2epub |

A small problem detected:
usually I select a book from Library, then press the button "Send to device": its default (without opening the dropdown list) has always been to send it to main memory. To my surprise, the default has changed to send it to memory card. alessandro |

Another problem:
an item in the book list on the device is always grayed out. When in that status I'm unable to edit its fields by dubleclicking, but the book seems to be existent (e.g. I can preview it). When I experimented deleting it, a new one became grayed out (a disease spreading!) alessandro |
