Roots of Strategy, edited & introduced by Brigadier General Thomas R. Phillips is apparently the first in a collection of historical military classics throughout the world, free courtesy of publisher Stackpole Books.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK). Unlikely to show up elsewhere, as Stackpole has traditionally not freebied in other venues.

The 5 greatest military classics of all time, complete in one volume. Writings of Sun Tzu, Vegetius, Marshal Maurice de Saxe, Frederick the Great, and Napoleon are introduced by editor Brigadier General Thomas R. Phillips and provide insight into leadership, strategy and the technology of weapons.

Thx, I didn't find this one, as all my Kindle searches at Amazon are now breaking.... can anyone else search for a Kindle book, at this point (any book)?

Nope. Been getting "400" errors for a bit now.

I managed to get most of my searches to go thru, then had intermittent errors. Now just get error messages.
