Glo Library Percent Incorrect

Hi all,
I have searched for this but have not found an answer (perhaps limited search skills!!).

I recently purchased a Glo (love it love it love it). I have hundreds of books which I have not yet loaded to the glo. The only books on the reader at the present time are 8 books that I purchased from Kobo. I have 7 of those read and am 79% through the 8th book. My reading statistics show that I have 63% of my library complete which is not correct. It should be closer to 90%. The 7 completed books are marked as finished so I don't know why the percent is incorrect. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance for any advice you may offer.

are any of the books in your kobo website library, but just not loaded to the glo? did you previously load books and delete or have there only ever been 8 books?

one thought is there is info in some thread about "preloaded books"....one for each language kobo supports which are somehow invisible/hidden unless you look the right place using your computer. If the calulation works with an extra book, it might be that. Or if it works with more, maybe it's counting all of them?
Also are the first 7 books short and the 8th book long? It is done by number of pages I believe, rather than counting each book equally.

some ideas anyway...i'm sure an expert will swoop in and have some better ones though

This is a known bug in the 2.3.x firmware. Has your Glo updates to the 2.4.0 firmware yet?

I'm wondering if this is connected to "ghost books" on your device. When I connect my Touch or Glo to Calibre, it shows books on the internal storage that do not show in the Kobo library.

The 5 I see are:

Great Expectations Charles Dickens English
Don Quixote Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Spanish
Les Fleurs du Mal Charles Baudelaire French
Eline Vere Louis Couperus Dutch
Der Mann Im Mond Wilhelm Hauff German

All these books are from Gutenberg. If you copy the file to your PC, you can open then with Sigil and take a look at how a .kepub.epub differs from a .epbub -- things like an Android .js, the css being stored in a css folder rather than in a stylesheet folder, someone at Kobo being obsessed with "!important".

If those books are being counted into your reading percentage, it would distort your percentage in pretty much the fashion you are seeing. 63% of 12 being ~7.6 so just over half way through your eighth book.

I checked the book I'm reading today, and the library had the same percentage as the sleep screen. So this bug may have been fixed in 2.4.0.

I don't think it was the percentage of the book but rather the percentage of the entire library that was being discussed. The one you get from the home screen / reading life / reading stats page.

On my Glo, the Completed area says:

132 books finished, 117.8 hours read, 9% of your library is complete.

Near as I can tell, the books finished count are books that have been opened and finished and does not include books that have been marked as finished from the library menu.
