I don't know if this site has been posted before or not but I stumbled across it this evening. You can choose what genre to look in and it leads you to a page where free books are listed in that genre. When you click on a book it takes you to a free Amazon ebook page.

I've been using browser quick searches to do similar kinds of searches on free Amazon ebooks. It uses the ability of FF, Chrome, and others to use %s syntax in bookmarks and/or search engine definitions.

			Here's the URL pattern Code:
	http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-text&sort=price&field-keywords=%s Code:
fa dogs fa horror fa graphics drivers fa shakespeare Here's an example with pics showing how it works with FF. B.N. In both browsers general quick searches can be configured by right clicking on the input field of most Search functionss, but more specific searches like the one above are easier done by setting it up manually. It's doesn't seem to be any good if you are UK-based and get your books from Amazon UK.

Even though you set your region as United Kingdon, you are still getting all the links going to Amazon US. |

Speaking of region setting .. has anyone else noticed that that option seems to have disappeared in the last few days, when doing searches at Amazon (when not logged in, of course)?

I noticed. It seems they use the IP adress to show the prices. But I find it annoying. I like comparing prices.

Yes, I look them up for alternate regions, as well, to see how widespread a "free" price is.

I'll have to use a proxy service and log out, I suppose. |

I prefer eReaderIQ because it can deal with Amazon UK but I am surprised to note that both sites are owned by the same people. I wonder what the thinking behind it is?

I imagine it might have something to do with geographic restrictions. Some books are available (free or not) in one country/region of the world and not in others. So having different sites that are useful for those regions makes things simpler.

I would agree but for the fact that eReaderIQ is multi national. I hope they are not about to withdraw one.

"Support for regions outside of the Unites States has been temporarily disabled. We apologize for the inconvenience." (I'm not logged in, either.) So, reading through comments above about other-region searches via Amazon, maybe all of the 'region difficulties' are tied back to some change (intentional or not) in Amazon's search function?
