Add Copy
Is it possible to assign a Keyboard for Add Copy in the Book Browser menu? I can't see it in the list.
No huge deal, but it would have been convenient in the book of one-page poems I'm currently constructing. |

I don't see "Add Copy" on ANY menu except as a right click menu item on the book browser pane. But you can assign an "Add Blank HTML" shortcut and use copy paste like ducks mentions. OR you could create a template html sheet in the book pane and just right click on it to "add copy".

Since there is no entry for Add Copy of HTML File on the main menus, you can't assign a shortcut. That said, adding it to the menus is easy enough.

Is that what Turtle is asking for? A keyboard shortcut instead of Text-->right-click-->add copy? Doesn't the add button (the cross or plus sign) also do that? Click the add button and select the file? So, one click to file selection...not sure how a keyboard shortcut would be faster than that. Or am I missing the boat? (It's been that type of week). H |

lol...no...the OP was looking for a keyboard shortcut to "Add Copy of HTML" page but couldn't find it. I mentioned that it wasn't in any menu but he could use a couple of other options.
Then meme said it couldn't be added as a keyboard shortcut because it wasn't a menu command...but being the Sigil god that he is, he could fix that I think the OP is just trying to find a faster/more comfortable way for adding the page than right clicking on the html file and selecting "Add copy". |

The BookBrowser's context menu Add Copy for HTML files simply copies the selected HTML file and adds it to the book. It does not read from disk. Its quicker than adding a blank file and then copy/pasting code.
kiwidude reminded me we don't need a Main Menu entry for a shortcut to work. And in fact since its specific to the context of the Book Browser it might not be clear what it does. A shortcut has been added for it though. |

Well you have to wait (not long now) for the next version to be released. I've set a default shortcut, but you can always look at and modify all the shortcuts under Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts.

Have we anything else new to anticipate, other than fixes - not that much seemed to need fixing? |

Looks like almost 50 entries so far, some bugfixes and some enhancements, since the release of 0.6.2. Including the big change of migrating to Qt-5 from Qt-4. I personally will be anxious to see how my Debian Sid linux with KDE copes with that. (Should be OK, though.) |
