bucketing down here too (other side of the channel)... a friend proposed we go have a drink but i told her the weather was far too depressing to go out. maybe tomorrow, if the risk of drowning on the way over has decreased.

On the other hand you could have a drink just by lying on the street and opening your mouth.
Of course the risk of drowning would be immense, but theres always a(nother) downside.

true... but it's not quite the same drink.

also, i'm hoping to avoid drowning (except for drowning my sorrows, in drink, but that's again something else entirely.

Now I have realized you dont like raining, but you really wouldnt have needed to send the rainstorm to me!
I have to walk home in an hour and if it continues like that I will have to take out my scuba gear!

tirsales, believe me, i would love to send this raistorm anywhere but if it's raining over there that's a second one because it is still going strong here (*sigh*) and i have to go to the shops... i hate shopping when it's raining.
