I'm sorry what?

First, I don't how you draw that conclusion. Second, are you saying I can't state my opinion of Greece as you can of Harry Potter books?

You're reply is moot. By posting that you can't be bothered, apparently you were bothered.

By posting that Greece was crap, I was making a point. You realized you fell right into the trap so you start attacking me personally instead.

Please, don't bother to reply. The thread will be better off.

Ok, I think everyone agrees that we heard enough about Scotland, Iraq, and Greece in this particular thread.

As for the personal attacks -- they are an absolute, definite, without a question no-go here. Other forums may be better suited for flame wars. Google is your friend.

Please let's go back to Harry Potter and his flying sourcer...

I guess I shall have to make my way back to the colloquialisms thread. I shall try to work up the energy.....

I think that if you like the school for wizards idea, Ursula Le Guin's Wizard of Earthsea books are much more interesting. For me, the characters are better developed and the struggle against evil is more convincing.
But others may well disagree.

I agree, a good well defined story, well written.

The film version also stood up well - though the story-line was obviously adjusted !!!

For adult readers - yes, I agree. Certainly not childrens' books, however.

Ah - that's another debate currently on-going in the publishing world - deciding the 'age-range' of books for children...
