If you are in the USA, you aren't missing much. Music I don't like, and books I don't want to read. Tastes vary, I know, but really Apple don't seem to be making much of an effort in Europe.

I haven't bothered with anything but the two free books we've had in the UK so far.

In 2010 and 2011 I got one book each, I think, and nothing else worth bothering with. (Life of Pi by Yann Martel, which I read and enjoyed last year, and Redbreast by Jo Nesbo, which I already owned on the Kindle, but you never know, maybe I'll want to read it on my iPad. Er, without using the Kindle app.)

I think it was over 300 MB. Several of their choices have been quite large - so, have to archive them somewhere, I suppose.

I'd really rather have a bit of decent music (and Google gives more away there, with a new song almost daily).
