I'm abandoning this one. It started off pretty good and I really thought I'd enjoy it but then it just kept dragging on and and on and got really boring. It took too long for the action to get started, even then I tried to keep reading but I just never got hooked.

I thought it was a very good read. Hope your next read turns out better. I did enjoy Agatha Christie's "and then there were none" very very much. Next up for me: the life of pi. | |

I wanted to take a break from science fiction so I finished reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. The Fault in Our Stars was very good, but not as great as all the hype would lead you to believe. Perks of Being a Wallflower was OK. I didn't really enjoy the format it was written in (as a set of letters). |

I'm working my way through Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan series. A re-read since it's been quite a while since I read the earlier works in the series. I'm enjoying the little admiral just as much or more the second time around. Interspersed with that, I've been reading the Phryne Fisher books. What a complete and total delight so far. Highly recommended. |

I'm reading The Case of the Half-Wakened Wife by Erle Stanley Gardner; another great Perry Mason mystery. And speaking of mysteries... |

Hopefully everyone is reading the announcements forum where all.... .... is still a secret. But at least now you're officially allowed to know that there's a secret. |

Hey, try a subscription to it! Or, just go to the front page of the site, and guess what? Yup, Announcements show up there, too. |

I think more people link directly to the forums than to the front page. And who wants their email littered with forum posts? Apache |
