But, but ... what if "us" becomes a "they"?? I mean .... d'ya think it could happen??? Like the pod people or something?? We go to bed at night, safe in the assumption that we is us and then wake up and find out we is they, err them??

And, how would we know??? Would we suddently have no interest in pandas, ducks, gibbons or (gasp) chocolate?? Would the idea of Queen Zeep tossing water balloons and blasting Mozart at a bunch of unruly school children no longer be of the highest order of humor??

I don't think I could live with that ......

Pretty long, I think. Hell, I can't even get my two to mate, much less gestate.

Just continue to take your daily (or more frequent) does of preventative chocolate, and the occurrence will be prevented. Must go get more chocolate right now, just in case .....

Yeah, ok .... point taken.

But ..... oh happy day .... I was over at the recycling place last week and talking to my friend Juan who works there. He has a friend who is a handyman, and that guy came over today and I think he is going to help me!!!!

We actually got out there with my foundation tape measure (which every home should have), and measured the length. Just under 800 feet. I was so proud of myself for getting it so close. He is going to bring another worker, and with all three of us out there, it should be finished pretty quickly. I got it started ... but I can only work in snatches simply because it's sooooo hot!!

He's also going to help me with the power washing, and refinishing the door exteriors and trim on the house. (Never realized until I had to count them today ... there are 13 doors around the exterior, and that's not counting the garage doors.)

Fabulous! You'll have help. But won't that mean the trench really isn't a secret anymore?

13 doors? Good grief!
