I have been extremey busy with work and now I will be very busy with vaccation and visiting three science fiction convention. But I will have my laptop with me when travelling so I might get bored at an airport or in a hotel room...

I think I have included all the changes. I did not analyse every change since I had forgotten some of the deatails of the code. I assumed that your changes was correct... The code is checked into subversion. So I you want you can check out the code and test it on some of the problematic files to check that I did not forgot anything.

I will wait a while until doing a release. I will check if some of the other tickets are easy to fix.

I suspect that it's only some Mobipocket readers that show the problem. It definitely happens on the CyBook Gen3 with the latest firmware.

I've been trying off and on with various versions of mobi2mobi and various books...I just can't get mobi2mobi to do ANYTHING.

Clearly I'm missing some key instruction. Can anyone help a(n apparent) dummy?

I have just been using the mobipocket desktop to make changes to my titles, and abstracts but I'm about to get a Cybook and I understand that those changes won't work in the Cybook reader: that I'll have to change them in the .prc file.

Let's say my book file name is book.prc. What I'm typing is:

mobi2mobi --title "MyBookTitle" book.prc

I get no error message, but nothing happens. My prompt comes back up and I open the file only to find it has the same title as it did before I ran mobi2mobi.

I'm getting a little frustrated. Other people seem to be able to make these changes...it must be "my fault".

Can anyone help?

With mobi2mobi, nothing happens without an --outfile argument for the target output file.

The reason for this design choice is that I did not want people to overwrite the original file by mistake.

I've been looking for quite some time now for a way to convert mobipocket .prc files so I can read them in my pc.

I found this forum and after a thorough reading (and some attempts to translate all the terms to understandable english) I managed to convert my .prc files to html successfully (iupi! No more @§€£@¿¿O¿OŽ ®ç!).

Are you running Windows? If so, Mobipocket Reader will read your PRC files just fine.
