I check it periodically in the hopes that they will start adding ebooks, since they'd have French books as well - likely most French titles published in France as ebooks. Right now, the amazon.com foreign selection is not only impossible to navigate - it is also quite limited.
No we don't buy ebooks from Amazon.ca. We use Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/kindle-store-e...node=133141011

So, there is not Canadian kindle store, and you get routed to the US store. In "manage your kindle", is Canada selected in the country settings or the US? I wonder what French speaking Canadians do? Do you know if they can legally purchase content from amazon.fr?
I can't, but maybe Canada is being treated as a special case because it's officially bilingual. I know Swiss customers can purchase content from the German and French store, so probably also from the Italian one, because of its 3 official languages.

I have my location set to Canada. I don't think we can use Amazon.fr unless we change the country (but I'm not positive). We do have access to books in French. I have come across a couple doing a search. Not sure if they were considered popular though, I'm a bad Canadian, I don't speak French .

And you call yourself a Canadian!!!!

I can get some European books through amazon.com, but most are unavailable in the US. I'd think the navigation is the first hurdle, since the US store can not be changed to French, like the Canadian store.
Maybe by 2050, we will have managed to get rid of georestictions.

I hope so, and also the major differences in price between countries.

I am a terrible Canadian
