New member - expat in Philadelphia
My Kindle arrived on Thursdy and I am busy exploring the world of the ebook. Many thanks to all the members who have uploaded ebooks for the rest of us. I am having a great time hunting for books that I have read long ago and then lost in my travels, and exploring for new stuff as well!

Hello and welcome. We're very glad you've joined the forum. There's a very active group of Kindle owners here -- and since the Kindle can use books in MobiPocket format, we share a lot in common with the owners of the Cybook and similar devices.
I have both a Kindle and a Sony PRS-505. I've really enjoyed the Kindle and it is my primary electronic book reader. You've got an exciting time ahead of you. On my Kindle, I'm about 1/2 through reading Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (third in the Twilight series). I let the battery run down on the Kindle, so I'm reading Door through Space by Marion Zimmer Bradley (which I purchased from Fictionwise) on the Sony Reader until I can get back to my hotel tonight and plug in the Kindle to recharge. Check out the various places here at MobileRead. Drop into the lounge for some unutterable silliness. Tell us what books you're reading and how you're enjoying your Kindle.
