As for KF8, we still don't know if it is for the K4 on up and if the K3/KK is going to be supported.
Thanks Jon. It's good to see *someone* with inside information from Amazon.

Prices you set for the UK (& the other European Amazon stores) have 3% VAT added to them. This is since 1st January this year. The Amazon EU operation is based in Luxembourg, and their VAT rate for ebooks changed to 3% this year.

If you allow Amazon to set the price from your US price, it'll do a conversion that may change week-to-week.

If you set it yourself, do remember that 3%.

When Amazon announced KF8, it said "current generation Kindles" and as the K3/KK are previous generation Kindles, it's unclear if they meant currently selling Kindles as well as K4+.

Another bonus from this publisher - I signed up to their newsletter - and as a celebration, a coupon for one 99c book.

So John Flint Roy's Guide to Barsoom is now mine.

Bug Jack Barron soon.

So worth signing up for perhaps for the future people. Plus some interesting books already.

Since it's Black Friday and I'd like to do something for those folks who aren't madly driving around, I'm putting the ReAnimus Press store's EPUB+MOBI edition of THE EXILES TRILOGY on sale for 99 cents for the next 24 hours, using the coupon code "exiles99". (Apply the coupon before doing "add to cart".)

http://reanimus.com/store/?item=1122

This is just in our own web store, not on Amazon. This also means you get both the mobi and epub, DRM free.

(You can probably guess I'm also testing a theory, being an inveterate theory-tester, and you'd probably be right. More about it after we see the results.)

Happy reading holidays to all, and to all a good book! (Isn't that how that goes?)

For a moment there I thought I was going to have to break my "No more paid-for ebooks until 1st February 2013" rule.

And then I found I'd bought this back in March when it was on offer in the Amazon store...

... and it's still on my TBR pile!

Yes, I bought it at the same time, and I too haven't read it yet .

So, I saw Mark Coker's data that said $3.99 was a more optimal price for ebooks. I love doing experiments, and I'd love it if it held true that a lower price was better. It wasn't true last time we tested this, but, times change! So, to test Mark's theory, we've lowered the price of THE EXILES TRILOGY to $3.99 for a little while. (On Amazon and the ReAnimus Press store - http://Amazon.com/dp/B005V54Z1O and http://ReAnimus.com/?i=1122 .) We'll see if this holds true or not... Should be interesting!

I really enjoy Ben Bova. I put it on my wishlist, but at $3.99 it's a bit over my impulse threshold given that I've got a large number of books on my to-read list and that I'm avoiding his work for a little bit longer because I have a tendency to read a lot of works by a prolific author all at the same time and feel like I should be more broad in my reading -- I recently read 3 of his books back-to-back.
