I'm reading Diana Wynne Jones' Chrestomanci series, and enjoying it immensely.

In the middle of Peter Watts' Starfish. It seems to be a trilogy also and of course none of the other book(s) are available in ebook format...

Ug... I don't know how, but I got hooked into reading _Giving Chase_. I don't know why I keep reading it... I guess it's like a train wreck. Almost finished it though. BOb |

Finished Pratchett's Carpe Jugulum. I hadn't realized the witches were in that one, so I'd missed it earlier. Liked it almost as much as Witches Abroad, for many of the same reasons. |

I noticed that my .lrf conversions in calibre have very large file sizes (3.5 MB) .. I've tried the .prc ones which make smaller files but I don't like the formatting of chapters as much. I'll see if the large files run slow on my computer first, I guess, because calibre doesn't handle lrf2lrf natively and I'm partial to my margins and font size. ETA: on second thought, I think I'll try messing around with lrf2lrf because I've run into "nasty html code" before.. and it resulted in 4 second page turns. OR... do what I usually do.. download your .prc versions and try converting it. Thanks! Last edited by seajewel; 08-11-2008 at 07:55 PM. |
