Science fiction/fantasy with insect like aliens/races
I've been watching the Alien movies this past week and find myself looking for stories about alien societies with insect-like caste systems preferably one with an alien POV character. As always when google fails me I look to mobileread. Don't disappoint me forum in advance.

Try Harry Turtledove's Colonization series (Second Contact, Down to Earth, Aftershocks, and Homeward Bound) and his Worldwar series (In the Balance, Tilting the Balance, Upsetting the Balance, Striking the Balance, and Homeward Bound). The books are based on World War II. While the various countries are fighting, suddenly an insectoid alien race appears and now the struggle has to be against the alien invaders.

F.M. Busby's RISSA KERGUELEN/ALIEN DEBT series.
F.M. Busby's DEMU TRILOGY. (Okay, so they're more like lobsters; they're still BEMs!) Heinlein's STARSHIP TROOPERS features bugs but they're just targets. |

Maybe you should consider "7th Sigma" by Steven Gould ...
It's about bugs that eat metal whether inside or outside so you don't wanna show up there with say a pacemaker or anything metallic inside |

How about William Dietz' Legion of the Damned series- it's military SF, but has richly described insectoid aliens in several of the books- with long sections from their POV.

"A Deepness in the Sky" by Vernor Vinge, a sort of prequel to "A Fire Upon the Deep" (which has other, non-insectoid, interesting aliens).
Probably better reading "A Fire Upon the Deep" first I think. |
