It surprises me how many of Stitchy's songs I know, and start humming when I read them. You should teach your class TODAY's song .... since anybody of a certain age has already heard the Coca Cola version of it!

It's a SPECTACULAR day outside, and I'm hurrying through breakfast so I can take my camera into Kyoto for some more Fall color photos around the temples (and sneak in some exercise while I'm at it...) They certainly know the tune. And I've printed a couple of Christmas songs as well, as those are popular. I bought a new gig bag last week so I can carry my guitar safely again, so this is all in the plans. Quote:
In those days no one we knew did hard drugs... And then, light a light switch being flipped... it all changed... seemed like overnight... Heavy Metal took over the music scene, heroine took over the drug scene, and those of us who lived grew up. Where is Peter Pan when we need him? Stitchawl

As my DW (who actually lived on Haight Street in the 60's) is fond of saying -- "If you can remember the 60's, you were in them. " Personally, I don't remember them too well. Talisker tonight. |

Back home again with a full camera! What a beautiful day! And now a cup of Assam tea while the memory card dumps everything into the computer... Anticipation!!! Ask her if she remembers me. I was the guy with the full beard, no shoes, and guitar... Quote:

ummmmmm I thought we would be getting great food but we ended up with pretty mediocre hotel food. It might be different now but we were not allowed to go out in groups without security. The tour we were on did not schedule meals outside of the hotel and the hotel buffets were pretty boring. The food on th cruise was good but still massive buffets. Hopefully you have a different experience but I did not feel like I had a real oppertunity to get good Egyptian fare while I was there. |

No British restaurants that I remember either. (On the other hand, I'd kill for some Cumberland sausage right about now...) Stitchawl

Sencha I have no idea, we rarely ate off the cruise ship or outside the hotel. (shrugs) We did go to the Hard Rock but that is because my friend and I are silly and cannot pass up a Hard Rock Cafe. |
