What a great idea your day care has to give parents a safe, known place to leave their children and get out by themselves.

I remember my son getting his shots. He always had a slight fever afterwards and very restless nights. I am glad we made sure he had all his shots, but I also hated to see him so fussy and upset afterwards.

No fever but he did have nightmares and didn't nap well today. He rarely takes good naps but today was worse than normal. He is sleeping on me right now. I could but him own but i love the snuggle and the dishes can wait.

Whenever my son was fussy, I would read to him. Just the sound of my voice droning on and on would lull him to sleep. When he was very small, I would read the paper or my book outloud.. he didn't know the difference.

I sing or read. Rocking and patting works well. He never woke up from his nightmare but he settled down quickly when I rocked and patted him. I held him for a few hours so he would feel secure. I wanted him to know that Mommy was there.
