Really? That's fantastic news. Not only does that mean that Americans can get the Glo if they wish, it'll (through forums like these and word of mouth) drive traffic to local independents which is always nice to see.
Yes, that would be a definite win - win

You're very welcome, happy to help out a netizen in need.

Glad it arrived safely, and that's quite the reading list there!

So, are you happy you went the extra mile for the Glo rather than the other options?

Absolutley! The Glo is the, bar none, best front-lit e-reader on the market. As high a resolution screen as the Paperwhite, NO blotchy light from the bottom, faster page turns than the Nook Simple Touch, and I can expand the memory and read other documents than .mobi

It just wins in every category! And I'm very happy. Now to get a case for it so that it will last a long time.

I finally got a Glo sleepcover, and it's awesome. I love that the Glo clips into it, rather than being held in by corner straps, and it automatically sleeping as you close the cover (and waking as you open the cover) is a nice bonus.

Those you can probably find on eBay by now, I would think.

You Guys!

Despite the fact that I've spent all of my life living in some form of Occupied Canada, I too, have not been able to lay hands on the coveted Glo.

But no longer... Some creative Googling revealed that the ABA Indie bookstores program is underway this week!!!

And further searching revealed that this shop, in particular:

The Bookstore Plus | 2491 Main Street, Lake Placid NY 12946 (518) 523-2950 ow.ly/eZMcD

Actually have the Glo in stock (I know 'cause I just called and ordered one).

I will have a Glo! I will!!!

But this amount of effort I've had to put into getting one has been exhausting...

Now I know how my Canadian pals feel about the Kindle and the Nook.

Eesh.

September 6th Kobo announces new line of e-readers to be shipped October 1st.

November 3rd and still no Kobo's in St. Louis.

Today, I'm returning my last bottle of maple syrup to the grocery store!

Not that I have to complain about anything since I have a Glo since the beginning of october... but I made a lot of crepes yesterday and there are still plenty, maybe you could send me your bottle of mapple syrup instead of returning it to your grocery store (I love mapple syrup but it's very hard to find real one in France, you most often find syrup "mapple flavoured" ). In return, I can send you a real norman camembert (if it can pass through the custom agents and/or dogs : it's not easy to pass it unnoticed because of the smell )

Yes my friends, powdered sugar on pancakes is a dreadful thing and blueberry syrup is definately not the same. Yes, there is something special about melted butter, the smell of bacon and maple syrup atop buttermilk pancakes that says breakfast. But not for me, not anymore. (Or, at least until I get a Glow)

Because, this my friends, is not about the taste of pancakes, no this is about something far more serious, something evil and diabolical, this is about people (I'm talking Canadians here) withholding toys from adultsI!

Thanks a lot neighbors and what ever happened to Mr & Mrs Nice Guy?

Anyway, I'm sitting here eating powdered sugar and on whole grain pancakes (read dry and gummy) wishing I had a Kobo Glow and a cup of coffee.

66 days without a Glow - 4 days without maple syrup

Why you wanna treat me this way?
