I don't use Calibre, but it happened twice when I dragged and dropped onto the sd card.
I copied those 2 "books" over to my HD and deleted them off the Kobo through the file manager, but they still appeared when I ejected the KT. I deleted them again through the KT and they finally disappeared. BUGS!! BUGS! ![]() |

I just noticed a new, um, "egg" - when I plug it in to charge, there's no charging icon on the "Connected and Charging" screen. How on earth do I know if it's fully charged or not?? |

The word "Charging" will change to "Charged". But, right now I do have a little battery icon in the top right corner with a tick in it. Maybe that only shows when device is fully charged.

Just as an aside, are you sure it's the latest firmware, 2.1.5? I was using 1.9.something until the other day, read about 2.1.5 being good (after 2.0 being bad), so synced via Kobo Desktop. Got the "updating", and after reboot I had new firmware... 2.0.0!! Tried again, again it did the update, and again it was 2.0.0, tried a third time and finally got 2.1.5

The two 2.0.0 updates fixed the update loader and loaded 2.0.4. The next update installed 2.1.5. Of course, it would have been nice if Kobo had mentioned that this behaviour would happen. |

According to the KT, it's firmware 2.1.5, which I now hate. I didn't let it stay on the charging screen, I unplugged it, plugged it back in and went to the "reading while charging" screen so I could see the little battery icon.
I started another thread as I had a couple of questions about the new firmware, but then I asked this question, another "easter egg" that came up while I've been *cough* enjoying my 2.1.5 experience: Quote:

I only see the processing screen if I have put new books onto the device when I was connected. If this is happening each time you disconnect, there must be a book on the device that isn't getting processed properly and hence is being reprocessed each time the device is disconnected.
To find the file, you need to go through the file system on the device and compare it with what is shown in the devices library. And then remove any extra books. After that, the processing screen should go away. |

I did that when it first happened, but all the books that are on the sd card show up as being on the KT. I took off 3 of the largest in mg on the card (12mg, 8 mg and 6mg), thinking maybe they didn't process completely as it just whips through the "Processing Content" screen in under a minute no matter how much stuff I put on - I put 135 epubs @ 80.9mg on the sd card through the computer and it processed in 15 to 20 seconds- but it didn't change anything.
I deleted both the "welcome to Kobo" and "Read On" kpubs from the reader, could it be looking for those when it ejects? It's not really a "problem", it doesn't affect the reading experience, it just concerns me as a possible issue that may affect it later. |

Before I experiment, how did you delete the Kobo guides? Using the Touch's library list or from the PC?

First I copied them over to my laptop, then I deleted them through the .kobo folder using the PC.
When I ejected the KT, they still showed up in the library, so I deleted them again using the "delete" button. |
