Looking for a reader with the following characteristics
7¨+ display... more than 8 would be preferred

Forgot to say it must be e-ink display and zoom to fit the screen must be accomplished with double tap.

The Sony are 6" readers. That's not what you asked for. Browsing is fine on both the T1 and T2. Screens a little small for regular use though. Pinch to zoom is very fast and works better than double tap since you can control how much zoom you get. My T1 has a stylus but it's optional to use, I usually use my fingers. Works fine as long as your fingers aren't too big.
