<True Story>
As is my usual wont on a Saturday, I ambled into town to get some provisions (it's a good way to avoid chores). Again, as normal, I ended up at our local deli to acquire items for my experiments in sandwich engineering. In the usual chat whilst selecting some cheeses (I forget the exact context as I was so flabbergasted at the time), the lady serving looked up at me and said "you can wander in, but you can't escape..." (I did look around, but saw no pandas....).

Would whoever is playing with the Montsnmags Advanced Reality Controller, and pointing it in my direction please stop. It is messing with my head more than usual.

To get back off-topic, could I please ask badgoodDebs to stop pointing that those nasty sharp things at my throat? They're scary and I don't cope with blood well (did I say I was a coward?).

As has been so excelently pointed out, the escape is meant to be futile. However, this isn't futile in terms of not getting out. You see the whole reason for breaking out is so that we can break back in. Cunning, huh? The authorities will be so misdirected that they won't be expected this and we can return easily. And why go to all this trouble? Provisions! We need party materials. To celebrate when the answer to the ultimate question is announced (BTW, does anyone know what the question is -- I've heard rumours it is "which is the best e-book reader?"). So if we could just draw up a shopping list (hence the requisition forms), we could make progress. (We'll if I can ever get out, that is.)

So far, I have chocolate, tablet, chocolate, scotch, chocolate, crates of Zany Carter Delux, chocolate, popcorn (the concession stand over in Six of One... is still a little low, chocolate, cranachan, and a little bit of chocolate. Oh, and some more absinthe and creme de menthe for The Queen Zee's Royal Bath.

Hmmm. I might need some volunteers to help carry this lot....

OOohhhh! You're going shopping! Gee whiz, you could have said so earlier. The tunnel is over there.

On that chocolate, could you please make sure a goodly fraction of it is at least 70% cocoa? Nuts optional.

I think we're also running low on Darjeeling tea. Makaibari Estate First Flush would be my preference.

thanks for taking care of the shopping. could you add a goodly quantity of hobnobs (classic, no chocolate) to your list as well ? and some ginger biscuits would go nicely with the tea.

I thought you were cereal, not parallel. Flat gray ribbon cables restrict the air flow too much.

Shhh... I plan to use them as restraints. Every time I bring in actual handcuffs, Marc takes them. The watch batteries? They're just fun to hold under your tongue.

i thought he was "toast and coffee", not cereal. cereal is so cold and crunchy, not a friendly start to the day at all.

And there was me thinking that your exhausting Royal Consort duties were leaving you in need of a recharge -- all that defense of honour, etc. BTW, do you really think there is anything around here that needs restraining.

Oh. I just got a tip off from the ICCO. It appears that someone is trying to make money out of our shopping trip by buying up futures. Can I have a cut?

How you manipulate the markets whilst getting MR supplies is your own concern.

I need some more electrodes. And get the good ones this time. The last lot were the voltage equivalent of a dribble cup and that tends to make my assistants nervous.
