Please delete this I fixed it!

I disabled diags then reset.

Look at your Kindle, does it say: "Kindle" centered on the lower bezel?
If not, it isn't a Kindle Paperwhite.

So now we have both "4.x Touch" and "4.x Paperwhite" threads? The Touch and the Paperwhite both use 5.x firmware, not 4.x. Confusing?

I requested a moderator rename on the 4.x Touch thread to 5.x, but it did not get renamed yet.

So, for this thread, what kindle model is this anyway?

He wasn't the first.

We had someone else who recently thought "Paperwhite" referred to the new, high contrast, fonts on some models.

I see that Amazon.co.uk still says: "ships tomorrow", while Amazon.com is still stuck at: "within 4 to 6 weeks".

My guess:
Amazon decided there where too many "bad front light" screens in the first production run, now we are waiting for the next container ship.

MiniModding's evaluation unit still has not been heard from.
Maybe waiting for the third or fourth production run.

A hint for those shopping for gifts: See if Amazon will accept a pre-order for Christmas, 2013 now. They are within a few weeks of missing the Christmas, 2012 season.
