Crash after changing margin/spacing settings within an epub. Same crash as under 2.1.4.

Took the plunge and updated from 1.9.17. The Kobo Desktop updated straight forward. Then plugged in my Touch which also updated same. However after I "ejected" it, it took a long time "Updating" then "Restarting" then "Updating" again. Then the Hour Glass icon stopped moving and I thought it had crashed ! But after a few mins it finished and seems ok.....thankfully. One thing I noticed, I had to plug it back into my computer to synch up my books, and although it said it was "Synching my books" it would not actually start the synch until I clicked from the Discover tab to the Ereader tab ? |

Looks like the space between the page bottom margin and information bar is enlarged relative to 2.1.4. Tweaks like orphans:0;widows:0; (default:2) don't solve this partly! anymore. Normally this would add 1 or 2 extra text lines to a page. Personally I do not like fixed top and bottom margins. All page margins should be set within the (k)epub or overruled by the user agent but changeable by the user. Margins should be 0 unless the (k)epub file specifizes otherwise. Or margins are set to their Kobo defaults but changeable (also to 0) within the user agent. So Kobo, do add a vertical margin slider to change the top and bottom margins (just as the horizontal margin slider). Reduce some of the space between the page and the information bar at the bottom of the screen. |

I think that the margin bar controls all four margins. At least it did many versions ago.

I didn't say the hardware was crap, Kobo's hardware has been pretty great since the Kobo Wifi button peeling fiasco. I would love to get a KGlo for the sharper screen and front lighting. I don't care about the fonts, I sideload the Sabon font and love it, however all firmware versions after 1.9.17 make it too thin and none of the other Kobo fonts look as nice NOT counting the problems people are experiencing with the fonts that DO come with the 2.1.5 firmware.

With 2.1.5, after I sideload new books and turn off the KT, I get the generic "Powered Off" page instead of a book cover. I was hoping that Kobo would eventually fix the problem of losing the book I was last reading under a pile of new books, but instead we just get new quirks.

I got a problem here, when I started my kobo glo it launched the update but it's been 30min and it is still saying "update downloading". It's completely frozen, i'm gussing that's a bug. I can't shut down the kobo with the upper button, so how can i undo the freeze? thanks |

>Performing a basic reset A basic reset will force your Kobo Glo to restart properly. In many cases, this is enough to restore your eReader to normal. To do a basic reset: If possible, turn your eReader off. Locate the small hole on the bottom of the eReader. Unfold a paperclip and slide an end into the hole. Press gently until you feel a click. Your eReader should restart

By any chance might the battery level have been low on your device and it's actually turned itself off? Try plugging it in to either a PC or a wall USB charger. |

No, it was still at 80% before the update, even now it is still pretty full.

You can perform a basic reset even if you can not switch the device off.

Yea It doesn't work, the thing just won't restart no matter how many times i push on the reset button. Maybe if i wait for it to completely run out of battery? |
