I remember a brazilian writer in an article for a newspaper describing a theft that happened to him: they took many things from his car at night, like his stereo, pocket tools and a bunch of worn, smelly socks. A few books that were in the car were left untouched.

I would be extremely surprised that this thug did what he did so that he could enjoy his passion for literature ...
Surely his intent was to steal a tablet to sell it back and get some cash, but since he is obviously stupid he did not realize this was not an Ipad type of device and that he won't get much for it when selling it.
