				Have you requested/gotten a replacement Paperwhite?
			 
			
			Although this is shown as a poll, I'm really interested mostly in how many people chose to get replacements and a poll was a good way to keep track of the numbers.

			I just requested replacements for both mine and hubby's. His screen is terrible and mine doesn't always turn on when I open the cover. I'm supposed to get them on the 10th.

			I am getting a replacement, but not because of the screen. My issue was that I could not register my new PW. The sad news is that they screen looked good with none of the splotches or discoloration others have described. My replacement is scheduled for delivery Tuesday. My fingers are crossed that I get another good screen!

			I decided to contact support and am waiting for my replacement.  It should be here on Tuesday, according to the estimate!  I hope it's a better unit.  The pictures of your replacement unit look great.

			For those of you that have requested a replacement, does Amazon require you to send yours back before they ship the replacement?   In other words, can I keep my current Kindle while I wait for the new one to arrive? I've pretty happy with it overall, but I have that little streak of light down the bottom, lefthand corner that does kind of annoy me. Thanks, Kevin |

			No, you hold on to your current Kindle while waiting for the replacement to be delivered. Amazon will give you a "return by" date that you have to meet or end up paying for both.
