Interestingly, on the List BM falls just below 2CV's, and my Campaign Opera (no simple Campaign "song" for me) opens with the ditty "I Can't Smile Without [Killing] You", clearly intellectual property of mine which BM has stolen retrospectively (while attending one of my Parties, uninvited, of course - snuck in posing as a trained komodo dragon with the large retinue of RuPaul) and then acutelated.

you cannot resist. you must have ALL the tom waits albums (especially that one !). emotional weather report, that song / poem is just a masterpiece !

i think i want to listen to that album AGAIN now.

heh, re the "crack of dawn" line, an italian friend of mine also loves this album. one day we were listening to it together and he says to me "can you understand what he's saying there ? translate for me, i'm completely lost." let me tell you, that is not an easy image to transmit while maintaining a ladylike demeanor.

heh, i'm not sure... he didn't speak english very well. then again, you never know. he is a bit of a joker. sorry, no transcript, and i can't even remember how the conversation went ; this was a long time ago, more than ten years, and he has since moved back to italy (snif).

now that you mention it though i wouldn't put it past him.
