And no US distributor even admits that they might be selling them one day.

BTW, does anyone know why Canadian distributors refuse to sell to US addresses?

Probably for the same reason B&N won't ship Nooks or Amazon won't ship the Kindle Paperwhite to Canada.

ETA: Originally DH and I were going to order Glos and give our two ten-year-olds our old touches. The girls fell in love the the Kobo Mini, though, so I just ordered that for them today after seeing this thread. The status shows it isn't in the stores yet, but is available to ship.

Yeah, I'm a bit baffled at that as well - Best Buy is still listing the Glo as 'coming soon' but I haven't seen it listed at any of the other retailers Kobo lists for the US. I'd really hoped to a Glo right when they came out, but that doesn't seem likely at this point...

I put in my order last night at 6 p.m. and just got my confirmation that the two Minis I ordered are shipping! I opted for free shipping, which is 3-5 business days, but since I'm in Toronto and they ship from here, I *should* get them on Monday. I know that in the past it's only taken 1 day for me to get stuff from Chapters even when I opt for free shipping.

We'll see if I race out and get a Glo for myself after playing with the girls' Minis.

Kobo Glo's still listed as a Pre-Order item at Collins, and it hasn't showed up at all at JB or Officeworks.

I'm on "Kobo Minis for the twins" watch. They were just processed by Canada Post in Mississauga this morning. Since we're in mid-town Toronto we *should* get them later today. Keeping my fingers crossed! The girls were super excited this morning.
