Does anyone know when the Paperwhites will be in stores? I want to check it out before I decide whether to purchase one or not.

I asked at my local Best Buy and the girl said they should have them in on the day of release as they've had their pre-order in for awhile. I take that with a grain of salt though.

I just called my local staples to find out when I could buy one there so I wouldnt have to wait till end of october. They told me that Amazon wont be shipping any to them until the end of october either, so Im stuck waiting either way so Im just going to keep my order with amazon.

I notice that Best Buy's Sunday newspaper add does not even mention the PW, although the Fire and the $69 Kindle are featured prominently. Does that mean that they do not even anticipate having any PWs in stores this week?

That's how I would take it. I was told they would have them, but I'm thinking it's looking unlikely.
