			I have burned Audible files to cd via iTunes on a pc - one trick I learned while doing it is to NOT do anything else, have all other windows closed while burning.

			Actually, no, it's a pretty high-powered computer. But if you read Audible's recommendations, they tell you to not be doing anything else while the book is burned. Sometimes it doesn't matter, sometimes it'll skip a disc in the middle of the book, sometimes the book will be garbled. It's just wisest to not do anything else while iTunes burns the book.

			There are software that will convert aax to mp3.

			That was what I was attempting to do in the first place, trying to be a good little catlady and follow Audible's rules and regulations. And all I got was a portion of one audio book onto CD and a boatload of problems. So now I'm using another method to get the result I wanted, and my mood has improved considerably.
