After a week of 90+F temps with 90%+ humidity levels, severe storms rolled through last night with torrential rains & winds.

Today is gorgeous - high of 80 F - sunny, breezy, pleasant! Can fall be here?

It is gorgeous today here, too, after yesterday's first "not as hot as usual" front of the season rolled through a full two weeks ahead of the annual average date for this event. I feel like going out and hunting chickens now.

cloudy cloudy and NO bluddy rain. My new phone tells me where I am and what the temp is, although in the kitchen it was 5°C warmer than what the phone says.

and my lime marmalade burnt on the bottom. I rescued most of it, but I am sure it will still taste a little caramelised.

I'm sitting at work waiting to be killed. We have a "profound" cold front approaching us from Canada - tornado watch until noon [winds are VERY swirly now - hot & humid conditions]. Then bands of "intense" storms will roll across us all afternoon & evening.

If we live - tomorrow's high temp is alleged to be 70 F!

Here the forecast is for thunderstorms starting in about an hour, followed by more thunderstorms, then more thunderstorms after that, followed by a chance of thunderstorms, and then ending the day with another chance of thunderstorms. "At times, the winds could gust 35 to 40 mph."

I imagine we'll see a few tornado watches before the day is done here as well.

Wait a minute! Yesterday the weather lady here said the yucky stuff was coming up from the south. Actually it wasn't too bad here in the city. Stopped raining before I had to go out, then windy and comfortably cool. 13 or 14 C - 55 to 60 for you guys south.

Anyway, I hope you guys come out of it OK. You had some bad times this summer.
