* more 1 - click tools, best would be a configurable toolbar.
* Sorting of files and folders: files and folders in two separate groups in alphabetical or other order. For example first all folders sorted and then all files sorted * Correct displaying of tagged texts in dictionary in abc mode or at least removing formating tags and displaying plain text. * Add ability, in the dictionary, to insert a word to be translated while reading a book. Needed for scanned pdfs without OCR text layer, fine for any other pdf. Last edited by Mono; 09-15-2012 at 05:36 PM. |

Yes, that's a good point. In GUI-based file explorers there's a pretty wide-spread agreement about this way of sorting files and dictionaries. You only find the "mixed sorting mode" in command line interfaces (like UNIX "ls" command without "--group-directories-first" option).

I personally find most annoying the fact that the pen stops working sometimes (power management issue i've described on various occasions).
Also vertical and horizontal straight lines don't get merged in the pdf I've marked these issues as "very important" on the Wiki-page with suggestions many moths ago, but i guess other users don't find them irritable enough. |

As for the issue with the pen, it's i global problem of the fw, i believe (or with the power management module of it). This happens everywhere, also in the menus of the device. Keep the tip of the stylus close to the screen (without touching it) for a moment and sometimes the screen switches off/becomes unresponsive to the stylus until you have lifted the stylus high up. This is a bug that only occurs when the device is not connected to any powersource (hence my power-management-speculation) |

Hi there,
can any one advise how to change the battery on the M92? ereader-store are going to send me a new one. I bought the device in July 2012 and have had no end of problems with it. I had to send it back to the supplier once and because the screen got damaged in the return post I was sent a second M92 (the battery of this one was non functional which is not a good start). When I got the replacement, I charged it over-night and then loaded up the new OS version and OTMF. 2 boots later, the device now boots to a flashing screen and then stops. Nor can I get the bootloader to reinstall the OS. I want to like this device, but so far I have had only 4 days of reading out of this device ... very frustrating. Kevin Pugh |

While I scribble, sometimes straight lines are produced on the screen, like in the letter "t" or "p" or whatever. Parts of some letters or numbers are then missing after merging the scribbles to the pdf, that's when this bug becomes really irritating. There are no tools for drawing any "predefined" objects in the new pdf reader. Btw. it's not that hard to draw a straight line on the screen (maybe because the resolution is not that big or because the touch-screen is not that accurate)

Yes it is not that diifficult to draw straight lines but it is time consuming to try to have them always like that (sometimes I need that) thanks for the clarifications PF |

In my case, I'd found it very useful if the scribbles I write down in my pdf files were compatible with the BOOX M90 and vice versa.
On the other hand, the underline and annotate functions don't work with my pdf docs (may it's because they are images and not text) and I find it an indispensable tool. I also find great the shortcut to frequently used functions, which persist after rebooting the doc. (ex.: zoom type, notes, etc.) And it would also be better if the starting of the device increased its speed a bit (with its latest version it got quite slower). Well, now I close my wish list 'cause I see we're keeping you too busy. Thank you so much for the improvements! ![]() |

Any firmware update in sight?
My niggle: when I read a PDF with the M92 held horizontally and I *almost* reach the bottom of the page, the next scroll-down action will only move me right to the end of that page instead of also showing me the first slice of the following page. So I have to scroll-down again. With the refresh delay (and the refreshes costing battery) this is a bit annoying. Cheers, Joerg |
