As I mentioned before, I upgraded to allmine directly from unrooted ermine and got the library issue. I also have been having odd loops of it suffering from being unable to process, asking me if I want to wait or force the process closed, and then restarting the tablet side and then still going back to the unable to process window. It doesn't happen all the time. I don't know whether it is a compatibility issue with any of the apps I've been trying. Either way, I think perhaps I need to downgrade to repair the library anyway.

Can anyone please spell out instructions for what I need to do in ermine to recover the library backup from my SD card so it can survive happily into allmine?

(I'm assuming that a search of the forum will help me find the ermine file and that I need to do a similar thumbdrive install-- am I right?)

In your case madgrace, I would advise going back to Dingo - use the dingo golden - and then updating to the standard Ermine. Where you go from that is up to you but it does sound as if you have some form of conflict with some apps.

This will clear all the apps and data on your EE so make a backup of anything you need first.

All basic updates follow the same procedure using a USB stick.

Thanks for the speedy reply, ivanjt! If I want to go back up to allmine, then is there something I need to do in ermine to retain my library before I update to the combination allmine?

If your library is on the external SD card then it will remain there through the update, or you can take it out to be sure. If it is on the internal sd card then, unless you can copy it to a computer I am afraid it will be cleared and you loose everything not backed up externally.

Since I have never been interested in the market and the other g-apps I've never applied the EE allmine so I have no experience on what it might do to the library. The only advice I can give is to make sure you have everything backed up to your computer first so you will be able to restore if necessary.

OK, what now is latest universal allmine (emine) here for EE (big original eDGe NOT PE).

My advice is to stick with the standard Ermine update unless you ABSOLUTELY MUST have the market.

Depending on your usage there is no real advantage to having the market available - I've not found a use for it yet

If you NEED the market then again try the EE allmine but you are on your own.

No problems here with Universal Allmine on my EE. I used the file from the second post on this thread. But if you don't care about Market, etc. you can just stick with regular Ermine.

I updated but even I got rooted device I had to manually put google apps.

Also noticing LED on power button is on orange color.

Battery is full.
Noticed that beffore also.

Yes, something not definitely not right with this allmine on EE.
Leaved it home while I am on vacation, will return back to Dingo and official Ermine.
I can not believe I have only these bugs with allmine, maybe will try from first post this time.

I got my EE the other day. Straight away I updated to ermine. When I tried to update to allmine it never asked me to register anything and there is no apps store that I can find. There was also a log file left behind:

As seen in the log, Allmine didn't find the gapps file.

it was in the usb drive alongside the allmine file. I named it gapps.zip, it still shows it in the flash drive....there are other files on the flash drive too, maybe I will try running the update again with a clear flash drive...(wouldn't think that would affect anything tho)

what about those other files that it couldn't find in the log?

BTW, as I noticed, your file has a space between dot and extension:

This may be the reason for Allmine not installing Gapps.
