A lot more than "a month or so" (except in the US). We didn't get the Touch in the UK until around May this year (and didn't get the Fire at all).

The KT was announced on Sept 28 and began shipping on Nov 21 (USA)

Damn I hope not. I've been delaying getting my first kindle for a fair while now but was going to take the plunge with these new devices. Hadn't factored in that the wait in the UK might be that long!

At least the app store is now in place in the UK (& Europe) so the Fire will get released here at some point even if at the same time as in the US.
