i think i'll wait, since i imagine we can't roll back if need be. i want to see how this hits battery life and whether my unicode patch will work on it before committing to an irrevocable update.

I'm reading the Master of Ballantrae in ePub... Works great although it's a bit strange to have the page number displayed like on the desktop version of DE.

The PDF support is much better: no more grey-ish background, fonts are much better too.

Are the page numbers related to the ereader page you are viewing (based on font size) or to a pBook?

Well it's using something that Adobe added to the standard. The goal is to support real page numbers (pbooks) rather than page numbers related to the size of the font.

There's a few metadata issues by the way, worked fine in DE Desktop but I get a few characters displayed before and after the title and the author with my files. I think I know why, I'll change a thing or two.

I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of justification for ePub. Now that the PDF support is much much better, I'll use PDF files properly justified and with hyphenation on.

PDF reflow works fine, but it behaves in a strange way. It removes the hyphens at the end of a line but it separates some words between two lines in a very bizarre fashion, without any hyphen or hyphenation rule.

I can't see me PRS-505 on DE, although I'm using Windows. I just dropped an ePub file on it using UMS.
